Food storage
Last week Seb ordered a big freezer, which arrived and this weekend we went to Costco to do some “big” shopping…

We figured, that with where we are living, having a large food storage is not a bad idea. This ensures that we do not have to go shopping too often and allows us to go every once in a while, to Edmonton to Costco to buy in bulk. Saves a lot of money. Also, when winter comes and we get a couple of days/weeks with extreme temperatures, we are sure that in case the cars won’t start anymore, we will not starve. Another advantage of a big freezer is that when Seb goes hunting, we will have enough space for the game.

This weekend Bert also helped us out, by building an extension on the trunk of the car. With this, we can transport a lot more stuff at once. He even gave us a lot of stuff he had left over from when he sold his acreage! We are very grateful because there are a lot of useful things there and all very expensive if we had to buy them new.
